When I was growing up, there was this one specific ginkgo tree in town that my late grandmother loved. She always pointed it out when it would change from green to yellow gold in the late summer. We still refer to that specific tree as “Grandma’s Tree” today.
That memory inspired this design set – Umber and Gold. Fall is my favorite season of the year. The leaves begin to change, warmer colors are present, and there’s an edge of a chill in the air in anticipation of cozier months.
Umber and Gold features beautiful golden gingko leaves, delicate line art, and abstract textures. I specifically used sepia, ochre, and umber paint colors to evoke the golden haze of late summer, when trees shed their green for the warmer tones of fall.
